The Y is a non-profit community organization committed to raising the values that define both individuals and communities through the service of building a healthy spirit, mind and body.
We do this through various Sports Programs, Gymnastics, Dance, Music, Art, Child Care, Summer Camps, Aquatics, Fitness and more all focused on improving the community for Plano, Yorkville, Somonauk, Sandwich and the surrounding areas.

Fox Valley Family YMCA Member
Wyatt Panczuk
|
Wyatt Panczuk is our member of the quarter. He has been a member of the YMCA since he was 15 months old. Wyatt was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of three. During that time, Wyatt enrolled in indoor and outdoor soccer, basketball and flag football to focus his energy into. His mom says, “He is a very strong and brave boy. He is always ready for what comes next. He is a child that once you get to know, you will never forget him.”
The Panczuk family loves coming to the Y for the friendly environment. “Everyone is like family there, and the staff members are always willing to help out. Being a part of the Y has even made our family closer. We have also gained friends that we will be a part of our life forever.” After fighting cancer two years, Wyatt is now cancer free! |
